How to remember rotation rules?
I have the final part of my math state New York testing tomorrow, and my teachers told me that rotations would be on the test. Does anyone how I can remember the coordinate rules for rotations of figures on coordinate planes?

~Rotation 90 degrees clockwise: (x,y) --> (y,-x)
Think of it like this, clockwise means going to the right, so in a 90 degree clockwise rotation, after you switch x and y, the number on the right is negated.
~Rotation 90 degrees counterclockwise: (x,y) --> (-y,x)
Counterclockwise means to go to the left, so in a 90 degree counter clockwise rotation, after you switch x and y, the number on the left is negated.
~Rotation 180 degrees: (x,y) --> (-x,-y)
This one is rather easy to remember, compared to the previous two. In a 180 degrees rotation, just negate both the x and y values.
I hope this helped!
