Depends where you're in Valley Stream.

If you're in North Woodmere section, closest bus stop will be on Rosedale Rd/Park Lane, which Q111 bus is only bus that stops there.

Q111 bus takes you to Jamaica Center for Manhattan-bound (E) train.

If you're in Valley Stream, there are NICE Bus that takes you to NYC Subway Station at Jamaica Center or Jamaica-179th St.

    Weekday:

n1 Rush Hour goes directly to Jamaica-179th St.

n1 Rush Hour takes you directly to Jamaica, but faster choice will be to transfer to n6 express at Hempstead Turnpike Rd/Elmont Rd.

n2/n8 goes meets n6x express at Meecham Av/Convert Av and Franklin Sq. n2 goes clockwise and n8 goes counter clockwise loop.

n4 takes you directly to Jamaica Center.

When there are no n6x, n6 local bus are also available daily.

    From Jamaica-179th St, take Manhattan-bound (F) to 42nd St-Bryant Park.

Walking distance to Port Authority Bus Terminal.

From Jamaica Center, take Manhattan-bound (E) directly to 42nd St-Port Authority Bus Terminal.

From there, New Jersey Transit's #139 local bus ($25.65) or $319 Express ($35.75) to Atlantic City.

Fare on buses/subways are $2.50, while NICE Bus are $2.50 MetroCard fare except if you paid by cash, it's $2.25 on all NICE routes.
