Has anyone ever used Pro Flowers or one of those other commercial flower delivery services?
Are they any good? Did they deliver on time? How was the quality of the flowers? My girlfriend's birthday is coming up soon and I would like to have some flowers delivered at her workplace. The prices at places like 1-800-FLOWERS and ProFlowers are more reasonable than the local flower shops, but I don't want to look like I bought her some crummy discount flowers. Let me know your thoughts. Other flower delivery website suggestions are welcome too! Thank you!

They are both good. There are a few others as well. Do a google search for "best online flowers" and there will be some websites that review the top 5 or 10 florists like those.
I've always had good results with the big names. There may be an option for morning delivery for a few extra dollars.
Pick a dollar amount you want to spend, and then be ready to cough up an extra 10-15 dollars more just in case the bill goes a bit higher than you expected. Remember, this is a once a year thing. Morning deliver may be worth it because she will have the flowers all day long instead of a 3pm delivery. Girls love it when they have other people complimenting the flowers all day long. Keep the note simple, don't try to write some love letter.
