How do I solve this: 2x + 5y = 20 find y?

Update:

It just says find the x and y intercept of the graph of each equation.

    y = mx + b

    5y = -2x + 20

    y = -2/5x + 4

    So, y is 4

    x is 12.5

    I think...

    2x + 5y = 20

    5y = 20 - 2x

    y = (20-2x)/5 = 4-(2/5)x

    It's impossible to solve unless you know x or if there is another equation where x and y would be the same values.

    Depending on what x is, y could be any number of solutions.
