What can i use for a diffuser for 5500 K led panel that isn't flammable?

ive seen things like tissue paper, but its fragile and noisy. Something that isnt fragile, isn't flammable and isnt noisy on set would be great!

if you are working with LED's then wax paper should work fine. an LED is not going to cause the paper to burn or char like a tungsten lamp would.

    Flame-retardant cloth.

    Plastic light-diffuser panels for ceilings.

    Frosted glass.

    Frosted light gels (if available).

You could also aim the light at a reflective but dull surface

    (flat-finish white paint, for example)

so that it would be required to bounce off in order to be seen.

Find a supplier of lighting products for film and live theatre.

They have a product called diffusion (aka gel), it's a plastic kind of material that comes in a large sheet and you can cut to size. You can also get different sized frames to hold it.

You can get many different percentages of diffusion, colour correction and colour.

A metal mesh called a scrim should do the trick nicely.
