When newscasters need to give bad news to the public.?

Afterwards does the newscaster "block the bad stuff out." Or just

"Let it go." to be able to do their job the next day?

They learn to deal with the bad news given because it's part of their job. However, they are humans just like us so it will have some that will have problems of letting it go or blocking it out, depending on the severity of what they witnessed first hand. The larger news stations will have a psychologist directly or indirectly involved with the station to provide help and guidance if needed.
