Command? And demand? Aren't they the same?

pretty sure that a command is like an order so theres not really a choice

whereas a demand is an order but the person technically could say no

probably wrong, also command is more authoritative i think :)

  • Command is a verb telling someone or something to do something

Demand is a verb asking for something

"he commanded, the dog to sit"

"the dog demanded a bone before he would sit"
