Reasons for violations?

I've gotten a few violations but when I check to see the question I answered, they're gone. What kind of things are most common to receive a violation for? I've answered a lot of questions about where you can watch movies for free without getting virus and sh*t, but I've also gotten best answer for a few of those.

This should help. Sometimes a post may seem very innocuous but can still be a violation. This may help you in the future. Here are a few very common violations .

    Solicitation:

    Chat:

Questions must be of interest to the community, avoid those solely of personal interest, they must be advice-seeking and /or knowledge-worthy. Asking for opinions or "what do you think" unless knowlege-seeking are pretty much always violations. as are always "rate" me type questions.

This from Yahoo. Our points system is meant to reward the community members for sharing questions and answers, so creating multiple accounts or posting content for the sole purpose of gaining points or soliciting others for points is not permitted. Posting filler answers to a question in an effort to be first to answer, or copying and pasting other members' answers, are also forms of cheating.

There are however trolls out there who report most anything. If you feel you have been wronged you should appeal.Go below. Just follow the prompts.

Giving people links to watch free movies, pay-per-view, or TV where the material is copyrighted, is a legal violation on YA. It is considered piracy. Even if 90% of the content is good, that 10% makes the whole site illegal. There are few torrent sites that do not fit this. You may even be breaking the law. If you get these types of violations, you are at great risk of losing all your Yahoo accounts.

If your answers give links to sites that allow people to watch movies for free that are still under copyright protection, that would be the issue. This includes torrent sites. Such questions are very often deleted for seeking to break copyright laws, as well.

The Q itself was probably reported as well or resolved, however when you appeal it tells you what the Q was.
