An object has a density of 2 grams per cubic centimeter. There are 20 grams of matter in this object.?
Will it sink or float? And how much space is the object occupying?

water has a density = 1000 kg/m³ = E3•E3 grams / E2•E2•E2 cm³ = 1.0 g/cc
2 g/cc > 1 g/cc so object will sink in water
having 20 g the object must have a volume = 10 cc in order to have 2 g/cc density

As water has a density of 1g/cc., this object will sink in it.
It has a volume of 10cc. (20/2).
