You'd think that stopping these kinds of things is why the federal government establshed the Department of Homeland Security after the 9/11 terror bombing.

I guess the government needs to pour their billions in taxpayer dollars to a more effecient system in preventing these kinds of acts of terror.

Since there were probably cameras everywhere that likely captured people setting up the bombs, it should be fairly easy for law enforcement to release the tapes to the public to show us all who did it.

Source(s): Truck Bomb Destined for George Washington Bridge The Jerusalem Post later reported that a white van containing a bomb was stopped as it approached the George Washington Bridge, but the ethnicity of the suspects was not revealed (obviously not Arab Muslims). This what the Jerusalem Post reported on September 12, 2001: American security services overnight stopped a car bomb on the George Washington Bridge. The van, packed with explosives, was stopped on an approach ramp to the bridge. Authorities suspect the terrorists intended to blow up the main crossing between New Jersey and New York, Army Radio reported. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VeJuiJv6Rs&list=UU...

Maybe they didn't post the anti-bombing signs on time there. You know, the ones depicting a downward projectile with a red line over it? Well, they have twelve months to do so for next year.

TO JOHN7: That wouldn't have helped. People like Average College Student here would only have violated the warning.

as quickly as you drop TERRURSM from the equation it is going to become obtrusive that Boston develop into inadequately policed. The mechanics of concealing a bomb (or countless bombs) around a metropolitan section are the comparable as hiding a physique, committing a mugging, dropping off drugs, etc. In any community the place we enable crimes that remember on concealment to ensue, we are on the comparable probability of terrorist attack, which further relies upon on a loss of assertion. this could be a wakeup call to Boston and another city with severe crime and customarily surpassed over city aspects that no element of a community could pass unpoliced and no crime, from bombing to spousal abuse, could have the privateness it demands to flourish. paradoxically a fantastically liberal end to entice. As a conservative you're able to probable choose everybody to have each and every of the bombs they choose, superb?

Just like posting a "no gun zone" sign, that wouldn't stop anyone from doing what they want anyway.

You can always tell the quality of a persons character by how quickly they try to exploit a tragedy in which people have been killed and horribly wounded for cheap partisan political gain on some obscure web forum.
