How do you deal with parents who forget things?
My father (66) I think is getting to the point where he's starting to forget things that I know I've told him, even just days before, sometimes mere hours. However, he's very a very...proud person and I can't just confront him and tell him he's forgetting things because it would just turn into an argument.
So I'm wondering if any of you have any strategies for dealing with parents who tend to easily forget things and if any of those strategies are effective but subtle?

Wording is key in these situations. I suggest you start off conversations with:
Dad, just making sure I told you about.......
I am making sure we are on the same page with......
That way you are not accusing him of forgetting and at the same time reminding him about important dates, days and events. You might want to ask if you can jot it down on a calender for him as well.
