what is the function of a plant cell wall?

    It prevents the cell from bursting due to osmotic pressure. Also, the many cell walls support the plant, since plants don't have bones like large, multicellular animals do.

    The cell was has a few purposes!

    -Protect the inside

    -Watch what substances enter/leave the cell (like a security guard)

    -Prevents the cell from bursting (Control; Dont want too much water from osmosis getting in)
