lightning flash arrives almost instantaneously, how far away is a flash whose thunder takes 5 seconds to reach you?

    343 m/s x 5 s = 1715 m

    because air is answer of gases ( Oxygen, Nitrogen , etc ) , its density relies upon on temperature. Sound waves commute by using molecules in air. The cooler the air , the denser the air. The denser the the air the swifter sound travels because of the fact the molecules of air are closer at the same time.
