98 f150 wont hold charge battery and altenator were replaced?

my 98 ford f150 wont hold a charge, battery is brand new and so is the altenator. so what else could be wrong with it

    Does the problem get solved if you leave the battery cable off overnight? If so then you have a drain in the system and need to get a current draw test done to find out what the troublemaker is. This involves pulling a battery cable and placing a current meter between it and the battery and pulling fuses and disconnecting things one at a time to find out what is causing it.

    somthing is either shorting or something is gettin left on. How much does it spark when you hook up the battery? Very little Sparks is normal but if its sparking alot something drawing a large load. Try pulling fuzes and if the sparking gets tiny then whatever you pulled the fuze for is drawing too much power.

    A short some where in the electrical system. Not uncommon for a vehicle that old
