Is 25 ft lbs a sufficient torque for a 86 ford 302's connecting rod caps?
I already put the engine back together and have had it running up and down the highway for some time, nothing has gone wrong (yet). I got the 25 ft lbs from a mechanic I know and I triple checked through Mitchell and the shop manual.

If that's what came from a shop manual somewhere then that's what you stick with. I always locktite the things in also when I"m assembling so nothing will vibrate loose.
