Who do you trust? United's or the Police figures?
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/apr/12/man...
Between 10,000 and as many as 24,000 attendance discrepancies. Remind me, what was that chant again?
"The disparity is because United, in common with other clubs, release the number of people who bought tickets, whether or not they attend. The police keep their own record of actual match-goers for safety purposes and have released the data to the Redsaway fans' website under the Freedom of Information Act."
Are you saying Wossy.... United have 20,000 empty seats?

@ Kristian: Not that your meagre brain will be able to comprehend this, but the GMP HAVE to keep an accurate account of people within the ground for health and safety reasons.
Just accept that Man United release attendances of people who bought tickets, NOT people actually in attendance. Owe Trafford has never looked as full to capacity as has been claimed in the past, this explains why. But continue to defend your club, you have a knack for it.
@ ?: They don't require 'holograms'...just carefully positioned cameras.
They are positioned so you never see the top levels of the main stand or the surrounds which are usually vacated, and obviously you only ever see three stands at any one time, giving the illusion that the club is always 'full'.

No wonder they have to hire a sound technician to create an atmosphere .

I've always maintained the majority of Man Utd fans seen inside Old Trafford are holograms.
You know those group of Indian's who sit pitchside? Yep, you guessed it. They aren't real people. I've seen them at numerous different sporting events, including the Winter Olympics.
There's a company who cater for sporting events. They design holograms for sporting entities such as Manchester United who want to make it appear as if their stadium is far more full than it actually is.
They have a database of four million different people but, unfortunately for United, they picked the Indian's, so have Orlando Magic and the Boston Red Sox so, either these Indian's are sports nuts who travel the globe or, more realistically, they don't exist.
That's why nobody noticed that there's 20,000 United fans missing from Old Trafford - because they're holograms.

You better get counting
EDIT: You're right 20,000 people buy tickets online from Asia but they can't get there.
