many chemicals and ingredients found naturally or added are drugs by dictionary definition. caffeine is a prime example.. by the dictionary it IS a drug, found in our food at rates that DWARF the levels they are naturally found at in our food. decaf coffee, for example, is NOT decaffeinated... it contains the amount of caffeine that is naturally in the coffee bean... reg coffee has roughly 100-200mg of additional caffeine per cup, that has been artificially added, making coffee and soda every bit as muchnof a drug as any other drug.... you can get a dui and fatally over dose on caffeiene.
just because its food does NOT mean its not a drug...
thc is a drug by the dictionary.
but just like ppl dont label you an evil drug addict for needing 5 cups of coffee, even though you are in fact chemically addicted, most ppl do not believe marijuana should be considered an illicit drug because its effects on the body are actually less dangerous than caffeine.. it makes you a lil relaxed and giggly, it doesnt impair you like alcohol, its not chemically addictive, etc..
