Can The 1994 Buick Century Station Wagon Tailgate Support Arms Be Adjusted Or Repaired?

I have a 1994 Buick Century Station Wagon, and the rear lift gate will stay open for a few minutes, then slams shut. Not a good thing if you happen to be standing under it! Can the lift gate arms be repaired or adjusted, or do they have to be replaced?

On this one, it is 5 per wheel, or 20 per vehicle. If it is a RWD auto, then it is the identical 5 on 4 3/4'' pattern similar to the 'seventy seven Cutlass you requested about. As a way to make an extended story short, the 2 cars have interchangeable wheels so long as the '80s model 88 is a RWD with 15'' tires.
