Difference between the FAB and WHO classification of AML and its prognostic significance?

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is calssified in two way, the WHO (known cytogenetic abnormalities, multilineage dysplasia, therapy and MDS related and others) and the FAB class which is from M0 (worst prognosis) to M7 (best prognosis) but what is the difference between the two? The FAB classification from what I understand basically gives us the prognosis. What exactly is the signifiance of the WHO calssification?
