help with jj thomson plum pudding model (10 points)?

my questions are what claims did thomson make? what evidence did he have? and how did he prove the prevoius model incorrect ? thanks

    He proposed...upon very little evidence...that an atom was a ball of positive charge, dotted here and there with negatively charged electrons, ike a "plum pudding".

    This model did not survive Rutherford's alpha particle experiment, which gave real information about the internal structure of the atom.
