Can I use a impact driver drill to remove tiles?
I have a dewalt impact driver. I got it as a package deal when i purchased a screw driver/drill. What can i use the impact driver drill for and can I use it to remove tiles in a kitchen?

No. Get yourself a masonry chisel and a drilling hammer (like a hand held sledge). Use them to break off the tile. Wear gloves. Broke tile is extremely sharp.

no. it is a "driver", for driving screws, bolts, or hex shank drill bits. It spins around, like a drill. Being an impact means it has super high torque for cranking tough screws into hard material, with less chance of stripping the head.
You need a demolition hammer such as a Bosch Bulldog with a spade bit. It has a setting that converts it from a drill action to a hammer only action.
You can also just use a hand cold chisel and a hammer to break tiles loose.Source(s): Homebuilder in MN
