Besides Neil Peart from Rush and Jon Bonham from LZ, who were some of the top drummers in the 70s?

Keith Moon, Michael Shrieve, Ginger Baker, Bill Kreutzmann, Steve Gadd, Levon Helm, Nick mason, Carl Palmer, and Butch Trucks.

EDIT: PHILLIP! Sorry I have to say something, you don't understand why Ginger Baker is an excellent drummer? Have you ever heard his work with Blind Faith? Or his solo works? He's a brilliant jazz and fusion drummer that played with rock bands, if you don't think Baker is do you think Bonham is a hack? Because every single human being who's ever played drums (well) knows that Ginger Baker can drum circles around Bonham.

Ginger Baker from Cream was always being touted as an outstanding drummer,

though I have to say that I never saw it myself.

    Ian Paice - Deep Purple

The drummer in Alice Cooper is more than competent, I really like some of his

    stuff.
