Calculate the energy stored in the magnetic field if the permeability of the core is 500.?

The inner radius of a toroid is 10 cm, the outer radius is 14 cm, and the height is 4 cm. A uniformly wound coil carries a current of 0.5 A. If the magnetic field intensity at the mean radius is 79.578 A/m, detennine the number of turns in the coil. Calculate the energy stored in the magnetic field if the permeability of the core is 500.

    Energy is .5 muo mur B H volume. If you know H and mur, you can easily compute the energy (assuming the core does not saturate). To determine the current use N=H length/currrent

    not sure precisely what you're asking. How do you "keep" power in a magnetic field? until you're talking approximately electric powered power, 'reason in accordance to the guidelines of electromagnetism, all magnetic fields have electric powered fields perpendicular to them and vice versa.
