what happens to an adult when they have shaken a baby and the baby dies?

    SBS is never an accident, so the person responsible will have to go to court and be charged. Depending on the age of the person, they will probably be put in jail. If the baby dies, they will be in there for murder or manslaughter. If the baby survives, the baby will probably have severe retardation and more or less a "vegetable" and live a very consequented life. The person will be put in for less time in baby survives, but will still be prosecuted.

    I wrote a report on this in my second year of high school so dont quote me on this as it was years ago but I believe the adult goes for a mental health exam and then to jail afterwards

    Well, they go to jail for killing a baby...This question is freaking me out right now O_o
