McD's is changing their marketing focus.

They are no longer gearing their advertising towards families w/ kids. , they want to focus their attention on adults. This means more adult-oriented meals, and less happy meals and playgrounds.

One guess is that they're caving to pressure that they are "enticing children to eat poorly" by giving them toys and playgrounds at a fast food place. Because why should parents have to parent? (ugh)
