Should I get this bassoon?

    No - do not buy this. It's a cheaply made Czech bassoon,and this brand has had numerous problems. Every one I've come across has had problems within a year or two.

    For bassoons, you really do get what you pay for. Look at student model Foxes or similar brands - you want to put money on something that will last.

    I'd research some more brands before investing in a bassoon. I haven't heard much about Amati bassoons. Take a look at fox they have a large range and are made very well. I play a fox 240D which is a high end student model and it's a really great bassoon. If you are looking for a bassoon that will last a long time check out second hand professional ones that are on sale such as Moosmann.

    No. I've played on several Amatis before. They are poor in make (especially the keywork which bends easily). Save your money. Even a Fox 41 is a much better instrument (quite frankly, anything is a better instrument than an Amati).

    These bassoons appear to be student bassoons is this what you want?

    I like Adler bassoons.
