Earning $37K with a masters degree is embarrassing. She better not have student loans on that income.
- I have clients that pay their receptist more than that. If she wanted to work in this field, she should have done it without the formal education.
- I don't know any place that teachers with master's degrees only earn $40K. I have teacher friends all over the country. Almost all of them have masters and the lowest started at $57K in Colorado.
- We are all smart enough to understand that you don't pay $100K+ for an education when you are earning $16 an hour.
As for you, Ryan is correct here also = if your credit score is increasing 5-9 points a month (60-108 points per year) you are using a FAKKO credit reporting service. Try Identity Guard, Credit Tracker, or the services connected to MyFico.com.
You are ineligible to be on a mortgage with your low credit score. Without you on the mortgage, only her income counts. At earning $15K, she certainly can't get a home loan and she will need 2 years of income before the $37K counts. Even then, her getting a loan for $125K could be tough.
