Shock extensions for 1972 Datsun 240Z?

I wanna up the back of a 1972 240 Z at a height of 3" or so. Actually wanna place 17" or 15" rims, whichever gonna work. I just need it raise and need expert advice from someone who has done it or may have accurate suggestions.

Please desist from snide remarks.

Thanks for the answers, Guys!

My 1978 Datsun had 15" wheels by 8" and I used low profile tires like 225/50 R15 you should not raise the suspension because that will make the lower control arms normally horizontal point down ward that will cause positive rear camber and tire tread to wear unevenly as the suspension moved up and down.
