Is Perth really abundant with jobs?
I currently live in Queensland. I am 29 years old, have a Bachelor of Commerce degree and have worked in various roles doing administration and policy writing for the government.
I now have found myself unemployed for the past 8 months due to a mini recession, no one is hiring and everyone is being laid off.
Is it true Perth has a lot jobs? I have come to the decision that I need to move elsewhere as I am habing no luck here. I have also never been to Perth, is it okay to living there?

Sign up with an internet site such as Seek and see what jobs turn up.
You could also visit the various agencies such as Robert Half, Bielby etc that have branches across the country and see what they think.

My uncle lives in Perth
He has two Bachelor Degrees, one in Maths and the other Physics.
He is struggling so hard to find a job he can only get one in Jakarta, Indonesia.
He has lived in Perth for 5 or 6 years now.
The job he use to work for went bankrupt because of another company, long story.

Jobs are no more abundant in WA than other areas of Australia. With your background I would suggest Sydney and Melbourne would be your best bets. Perth has heavily invested in the mining sector, and unfortunately has neglected many other industries.
Melbourne and Sydney still are the main economic hubs for Australia to the rest of the world (majority of financial institutes, stock exchange, business etc. is there).

Hopefully you may find something in WA with these links, failing that look in the West Australian everyday, especially Saturday and Wednesday.
WA the state that carries the nation.
If you really want a job in Perth, you will find one, the days of looking for lion tamers jobs etc are well and truly gone here. We don't need people who are out of work here for extended time, best employment rate in the country. the few percent in WA either wont work or can't.
