CCTV convert SNX to MPEG4?

Could someone tell me if there is a programme out there which is a free download that i can convert SNX codex to mpeg4.. I have tried Real Player and other ones that come up on google but up to now i have no luck, so if anyone could help would be really grateful. I've been messing with this now for nearly a...

That is presumably a file type from a CCTV DVR unit.

You probably need to check on the DVR makers web site, most brands that use proprietary file types also have converters available to download.

See the link below for an example - that's for a 'KGuard' brand DVR, their converter to .avi is near the bottom of the page.

(That's just the first brand I found on Google - I have no idea if they use that file format. You need to look at the correct manufacturers web site).

If you have a Uniden system you can use this link http://www.uniden.com/page/downloads it will take to a page where you can download there version of the SNX player with 4 windows for the 4 cameras that can be used.
There are other systems on there so please match up the one you have...., if it is Uniden.


As for any other info, sorry but I have looked and looked and no one has anything for that format. I have the CCTV by Uniden and I can't believe they used this format, it is horrible and is imposable to find anything for editing or even for converting which makes it useless as a security system.
If this is the best they can do I'll be switching to another brand soon.

I do not know that codec or its not a popular one. You will probably have to search for ANy converter for that one paid or free and take it from there.
