Data that shows correlation between socioeconomic status and religion?
Does anyone have any data/links/sharable research that shows/suggests that there is/isn't a correlation between religiousness and socioeconomic status? I'm looking for something along the lines that will indicate (or not) the following statement: "the closer an individual is to the poverty line the stronger the belief/participation is in a religion.".
Please no anecdotal evidence.

I'm sure you can find religious beliefs by area/state and economic status by area/state. but then, you'd also have to figure in education level by area/state
