I think history will remember Obama as a very good President.

I think he will be seen as above average. Mostly good. Looking back, most Democratic presidents are more popular a few years after they retire. Jimmy Carter was seen as a failed president in 1980, but today he ranks higher than Reagan! Bill Clinton's popularity has done nothing but increase since he left the White House. Obama will benefit from that same phenomenon.
There are a lot of places where Obama deserves some serious criticism. But listen to the Republicans and you don't hear those things, you hear really silly made-up things. Like that he divided the country! Or that he caused a long recession. Or even (still!) that he was born in Kenya. What does it say for their side that they can't actually argue with facts? Those things will not go down in history!

It depends on how successful obama care is. That is the most lasting thing he has done, the bad economy that seems so important now will be just another recession to people 20 years from now.

Bad. I cannot look at the current conditions of this country and think that in the future people will look back on this era as a good thing.
I dont have the time to refute each and every point of Iris', but here are a few.
Iris writes: "Gave out the largest middle class tax break in history"
Countered with the largest middle class tax hikes in history. Obamacare, the payroll tax, etc
"Passed Health Care Reform, expanding coverage to 32 M more Americans, and it will cut health care costs, fixed the preexisting conditions travesty and caps in health insurance"
Has not and will not cut health care costs. Fixing the preexisting conditions and caps in health insurance is an economic disaster. Expanding coverage to millions of americans, but millions have seen themselves lose their coverage.
"Passed the Stimulus – now we have had 34 straight months of job growth (1/13)"
Offset by more losses than job gains. Which is why the unemployment rate is higher than when he took office. The stimulus was a big financial expensive mess. Even the administration has since admitted that we would have been better off if the stimulus never passed. Now we have to deal with the waste and corruption that stimulus has created.
"Added more than 5.2 million private sector jobs"
Which is in spite of Obama, not because of him. And that 5.2 million jobs number is anemic. That comes to around 150-160 thousand jobs per month when for a healthy economy, we need at least twice that. And again, that 5.2 million jobs created has been offset by more jobs lost.
Economy Lost 2.84 Million Jobs in Jan., Yet Press Pretends Seasonally Adjusted 157K Jobs Added Represents What Actually Happened
"Reformed the financial system so we never again have taxpayer-funded bailouts, and the system is more stable and secure"
Then why is Obama calling for more taxpayer funded bailouts?
"Ended the war in Iraq, began draw-down of Afghanistan troops, eliminated Osama bin Laden"
Did neither of these things.
"Turned around the U.S. Auto industry"
Nope. Just subsidized them. GM is still considering bankruptcy. The rest are building factories and cars outside the united states.
"Helped topple Moammar Gaddafi, told Mubarak to go"
And replaced them with the even worse Muslim Brotherhood.
"Reversed Bush torture policies"
Thats news to Obama:
Torture under Obama
ACLU Report: Obama Enshrining Bush-Era Torture Policies
"Improved America’s image abroad"
Polls Show Erosion of U.S. Image Abroad Over the Past Four Years
"Kicked banks out of Federal Student Loan Program saving students money"
False. Cost them more money. Student loans are now more expensive. One reason is that Obama attached a tax to student loans. Something the banks werent allowed to do.
The Federal Student Loan Program Is Expensive
Some student loans to become more expensive despite deal
See, problem with liberals like Iris is that they fail to look at the CONSEQUENCES of their actions.

when the effects of failed Obama Marxism wring out when thankfully term limits kick in, the phrase I would use wouldn't be just "bad", it would clearly be abysmal.
