I was born on the Pine Ridge Rez North Dakota In 1940. I was a victim of the

American Government for approximately 15 years of my youth. I had a uncle

in Utah who had a successful Movie Career and made a lot of money. He

invested it wisely and bought a reasonable amount of ranch Property in Utah.

Through excellent management and better advice on the cattle growing

industry he really came alive financially. I joined him at his ranch when I

had just turned 16. Under his training and Guidence I grew, And became

totally involved in capitalism and the reasons and challenges of it. I went to

Viet Nam for 3 tours. My AFSC was 1144 Forward Combat Air Controller.

Upon my discharge I returned to the Ranch. I had a gift that Wakan Tanka

had bestowed upon me. I could reproduce on Canvas what I saw moving

in the wild and the beauty of Horse Stock. My art took hold, through help

of a Well known Republic studios B Western Star. And from that period of

my life forward to today. I have never looked back. However I have never

    forgot where I started.

Alcohol is the enemy of my culture. Always has been. It is a chemistry

thing. Never the two should meet.

The Native American as a whole is improving. BIA is becoming less and less

involved with containment efforts of the American Indian.

Casino's Some tribes have done well Specailly the Seminoles of Florida.

There are a few tribes that have done well with the advent of gambling on

their lands. However over all the remaining tribes who have casinos are

under the thumb of organized crime.

Oil and Gas revenues are the primary source of most tribes.

    Thanks for asking.

    1. Wrong.

    2. Some. Other people drink more - witness bars in Las Vegas - 24 hour drinking and you won't see any Native Americans.

    3. Good for them. I wish I were a member of a tribe.

Some one has a prejudice with another.

Like some one tell the South VN people drink a lot of rice wine and something else. Those are not true.

Your question is a one of the tiny point of view about a mall group next to some one.

    Thank for reading.

Considering the way the USA's government has treated them from the beginning and the deplorable reservations living conditions it is now wonder they drink. As for the casinos they had to find someway to have an income for their people.

Alcohol has been a serious problem in the Indian community for over a century. Some of the tribes own casinos. My experience has been that most Indians have a chip on their shoulder which they like to openly flaunt, thus alienating people.

    I wouldn't say hate.

Frustrated at having to talk to someone with an Indian accent, who you cannot understand, when trying to get phone connected because Telstra has outsourced the call centre to India.

Annoyed at the callers with Indian accents who claim your computer has a virus.
