Do you have a computer with an SSD (solid state drive) ? How does the seek and write times compare ?

Is there much of a performance difference, is it noticeable ?

Stats dont say much, I'm curious to know if there is a noticeable difference in performance. Is it worth the cost ?

I dabbled with replacing a new laptop's HDD with an SSD.

Boot times (with no windows updates) went from about 40 seconds to around 12, but one time, it took over a minute to boot. I did nothing with the computer other than booting up and shutting down to check times. Dunno why it got real slow that one time.

I don't trust SSD's enough to use them exclusively yet.
