Is the Volvo XC70 more of a station wagon or an SUV?
How is the XC different from the regular V70?

the XC70 is an all-road version of the V70. All-road vehicle is basically a station wagon which is capable of off-roading. It's higher above the ground than a station but not as an SUV.
example: Audi A6 & A4 stations and their All-roads.

It's more of a cross-over. A bit higher off the ground then a car, but built on a car's frame. Much like Toyota's Highlander, which is built on the Camry's frame. With either vehicle, you certainly cannot go do the Rubicon. As for the Allroad by Audi, you cannot do it either, even though the suspension can be raised, because it too, is a cross-over.
