When Obama and the free traders succeed in wrecking our standard of living and reducing the USA to a third world sweatshop nation. Then we can compete with other developing nations when our living conditions degrade to the same dismal levels of misery as in the places that are getting our jobs.

The US has some problems. They have problems with the high corporate taxes which are the highest in the world, they have problems with some of the regulatory laws such as the EPA, they have problems with the high cost of labor and for some products they have a problem with materials.

On corporate taxes, the US pays 35% for money earned in the US and 15% on money from overseas operations. One would thing reversing this would lead to more of those jobs returning back home.

Apple Computer has its iPhone, iPad and all of their monitors built in China. Partly because of cheap labor but mostly because the rare earth elements used in making the screens for these items are regulated by the EPA very strictly because of the harm they cause. The US does not have a great supply of rare earth elements but China has approximately 70% of the worlds supply. Now ask yourself how many of these big screen LED and LCD tv's do you see that are made in the USA. Some may be assembled here (not so sure of that) but the screens are all imported from Asia.

Iron ore here is inferior to the iron ore in Japan and the Japanese are kicking our butts in strength and quality.

China is the largest consumer market but China will not buy any product that does not contain a certain percentage of Chinese manufactured parts, this is why so many semiconductors have opened plants in China.

Most corporations that have operations overseas utilize centralized shipping warehouses such as UPS in Singapore. If fuel prices became to high this would not lead to jobs coming back, it would probably move more of those jobs overseas but would also increase shipping costs to the end customer (aka you an me)

Once the cost of fuel for ships and planes reaches a high enough level that it

becomes too costly to transport goods halfway around the world.

Anyone who blames outsourcing on Obama is a #1 pinhead. It has been going on

for decades. Why do people keep coming onto answers.com looking so stupid?

Never. Businesses have found out we can get more productive workers at a lower cost and not have to deal with the whining of the entitlement class demanding more and more until we are no longer profitable. Ask Hostess. Killed by unions.

When it's cheaper to build stuff here.

No telling when that will be. I know the prices in China were climbing a couple of years ago.

When we roll back Federal Regulations to 1992 levels -- and have lower taxes.

Oh and busting the greedy unions would help too.

0bama seems to have no intention of providing any incentive for business to return to the U.S.

As a matter of fact he seems determined to drive as many away as possible.

I wouldn't count on any jobs coming back until sometime after 2016.

Source(s): @ jotacar , while 0bama may not have started outsourcing ( That was Clintons idea) 0bama has taken it to new levels . Give him the credit he is owed.
