How much does it cost to change my last name in texas?

    $227 in Harris county; in others it should be about the same. I found this:

    with your county to see. Ignore the sponsored links. There are often 3 - 4 ads by companies that basically print the form off the official county site for free, then send it to you for $19.95.

    The fact you do it at the county fools people; if you just Google "Name change Texas" you won't find the fee.

    You have to be an adult, or both parents have to agree to it.

    Here is an article on how to change your last name in Texas. Keep in mind that you also have to change your drivers license, social security card, and any other place where your legal name is used.
