Are we currently in the Islamic dark age?
Will we ever get to see the Islamic Renaissance; not in religious (because Islam is perfect) but scientific, artistic, cultural sense?

Muslims have always lived under caliphate from prophet's time to the last caliphate to date Otman empire. They were properous in every areas. Now even in large numbers Muslims are weak. This is seen in France, the largest Muslim community in western Europe and the leaders of the disbelievers impose their belief on Muslims and force them to disobey God, where WORKING Muslim women are banned from wearing hijab and STUDYING Muslim women are banned from wearing hijab at schools. When you are forced to disobey God it becomes compulsory to move away migrate/hija where you can obey God, this is what happened when Muslims left Macca to Medina and then God gave them victory.
In Islamic caliphates Christians and Jews were given their own law courts though they were free to use Islamic courts. In the "free" west secular law is imposed on everyone again forcing to disobey God. Polygamy is illegal yet fornication is legal and promoted.
God gave victory to Muslims in prophet time and to the his companions as they were God fearing and and practiced Islam perfectly. Even Saladin used to pray tahajut prayer in the last 3rd of the night and command his army to pray too.
The leaders of the disbleivers stated aim is to change Islam itself! They classify practicing Muslims as fundementalists and non practicing as moderate. They spend millions in mosques etc promoting their agenda. Their policy is to slander Muslim scholars, promoted pre-Islamic civilisations/nationalism, promote sufism etc.

Let's compare this to Rome. After the fall of Rome, Europe was left uneducated, ruled by dictators (kings), oppressed and were all in all in poor shape. The Italian renaissance began after the crusades and the transfer of information.
The fall of the Islamic golden age was.with the fall Baghdad to the mongols. After the fall of the Abbasid empire, scientific advancements seized in the middle east. In europe, it began to flourish, using Islamic knowledge obtained from the crusades.
It took roughly 1k years to recover from the fall of Rome (until the Renaissance) its been 600 years since the fall of Baghdad. Some weak Muslim empires have arose, but didn't live up to the abbasids or ummayyads or caliphate.
For a rebirth a couple things would have to happen. First, economic reforms, pan-islamism, seizing fighting and a strive.

Nope. Catholic Europe after the autumn of Rome was once in no sort of horrible form like islam is now in many of the islamic world. There are only a few places the place oil and a few stability reign for islamists to have much in the best way of happiness. Many of the islamic world is racked by poverty, warfare, violence, strife, backwardness and pain. It is vitally sad.

The way the system of Islam is written, the answer is no -- since it says that various forms of art and music and study are haram. Once upon a time the Muslim world developed mathematical and astronomical theories that we use today because they were correct, but it's hard to think of any field currently existing that there is still something to learn that this system will allow growth into.
I nearly spat out my cereal when you said "perfect", so thanks for the keyboard damage.

Dark ages, Renaissance etc. can only be seen where there was once a vibrant culture. So hoping for a Renaissance is just an idle dream.Source(s): //

Christianity had a dark age as it was attacked by Islam. It defeated the forces of darkness, recovered, and grew.
Islam can be said to be in it's dark age as it has been repeated conquered by Christian countries. However, it can not recover as the religion is too constricted by it's own literal deterministic dogma.

Not until Muslims bring radicals under control and recognize equality for all people.
Without bringing radicals under control, everything you want will be destroyed, and anyone who promotes a progressive idea will be killed.
The things blocking an Islamic Renaissance is:
Radicals teaching people that killing themselves and innocent other people is a religious act.
Radicals like the Taliban destroying electronics and other technology.
Radicals teaching women are chattel and forbidding women to have an education.
Radicals justifying their own sinful actions by claiming to have done the Sins in the name of God.Source(s): rc

You know, in dark ages, homosexuality, nudity, uncontrolled sex and violence etc etc was common.
Now just look at the countries who now wants to legalize it.
Who's bringing people back to dark ages ?
