What's a passing grade at the University of Michigan?

I'm talking I percentage here, is it 50% or 60% ?

    Percentages are not that useful after high school since each class will end up having a completely different grading scale than the others. In a very difficult class, a 50% might end up being perfectly fine, where in another, anything lower than a 75% is unacceptable.

    That said, the grades you receive in these classes are important. Typically, anything lower than a "C" in any of your core classes means you have to retake it, wheras a "D-" is acceptable in the optional or free elective classes. This policy depends on each individual college at the University of Michigan.
