Am making chiken, sausage gumbo this week end.?

Has anyone ever added some shrimp in with the chcken and sausage?

    Yes, but don't add it until near the end, just before serving. If it cooks as long as the chicken and sausage, it will be overdone - hard and rubbery

    Yes. But make sure you add raw shrimp rather than the cooked ones and add the shrimp 5-7 minutes before the gumbo is done to avoid over-cooking it.

    Yes. :)

    Add at the end, until the shrimp turns pink.

    Marinate in lemon or lime juice, season heavily w hot sauce.
