Depends on a few things and how hard the judge wants to be on him. The guaranteed consequences, expulsion, loss of ability to receive financial aid, and at least a fine.

Possible: Juvenile hall time, probation (including random drug testing), community service, and I'm not sure about Arizona, but I know in some states you can either lose your license until you're 21, or if you don't have it yet, restriction from getting your license until you're 21.

It doesn't matter how much it was. A drug free zone means you get boned hard.

That depends on several factors. The amount of marijuana he was caught with, if it was for sale or for his personal use, and his previous record will be taken into account. Drug Free Zones draw the maximum penalties. Sentencing will probably be a long probation sentence with frequent drug testing, community service and fines.

Since he is a minor, chances are that it will stay in juvenile court and those records are sealed. That way he has a chance at a decent college and respectable job. If he is tried as an adult, he is pretty well screwed forever.
