I doubt it, although some might be fooled. The trolls on both sides of the conservative-progressive (they aren't liberals) battle are pretty obvious to rational people.
Not all conservatives are any more rational than the progressives but they do have an innate edge on them. Conservative philosophies are usually more pragmatic than the progressive too often fairy tale idealism.
PS: I am a true liberal. See below. Most progressives and some socialists today fraudulently call themselves "liberal" and falsely call true liberals "conservative" so they can steal the true liberals' label.
PPS: Too many true liberals also have their fairy tale ideals. Regrettably for us, practical realities of today's still-grossly-overpopulating world forces some progressive policies.
True liberalism advocates: individual freedom, weak government, and free markets. Conservatism advocates: moral responsibility, strong government, and protected markets ("neo-cons" have adopted freer market policies since they now often have international businesses). Progressives advocate: social concern, omniscient government, and controlled markets. Socialism advocates: social responsibility, omnipresent government, and collective markets.
For decades I studied philosophies, cultures, and social institutions. I began that because of confusion resulting from my military experience under the shadow of neo-Marxist anti-military and anti-capitalism indoctrination in the universities.
I continue a forty year quest wading through the huge pile of stinking crap a wide variety of bigots dumped on top of truth hiding it from nearly everyone's view. The pile was made by blaming people they don't like while excusing people they do like regardless of where the fault really lies.
