Not sure about other New World countries, but here in the US some of the cuisine, particularly from the southeastern region, feature a number of things like rice, sorghum, and okra, all culinary staples in West Africa. So these foods and the use thereof are among the contributions African foodways have made to the US diet (though the use of okra may also have had concurrent Native American origins.)

Certain famous Southern foods like gumbo also show African culinary influence.

Most of us love peanuts, peanut butter, peanut brittle, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, etc. American kids (and most adults) can't go through the week without a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. There are probably other foods from Africa that we eat but none of us know what they are. (I'm guessing that most Americans don't know that peanuts originated in South America, migrated to Africa and then came to the US with slaves.)
