Depends, could take a lot longer. It can take 6 days or 6 months, but usually hear w/in a few months of the hearing if approved/denied, but sometimes since this is the government, can get "lost".

Most SSD on 1st try get denied and usually many have to re-apply 2 to 3 times, before they "might" qualify. It depends on many factors, one being your age, disability and can you do "any" work, even with a disability.

It is not uncommon that people applying can take years (IF), they qualify and get approved. The hardest part is getting the hearing, and it appears you have had, so an advantage, but, until SS sends the letter, which they will send to you and to your attorney, will you find out.

They have 180 days (6 months) to render a decission....

Its not always a good sign for them to take so long...
