Why is there no Google.net?

I'm bored and in study hall. There is a google.org but no google.net WhY

    Google owns google.org and google.net. It uses google.org to provide information about its ethical / philanthropic activities (.org was traditionally used for non profit organizations, although it can now be used by anyone). Google.net is just another domain name they own which redirects to google.com or your country specific version of Google. Google own almost all google.* top level domain names and country code top level domain names for the purposes of protecting their brand and to make sure people always end up at a Google site whichever domain extension they use.     There is a Google.net but that domain name is not currently in use. Why Google choose not to use that domain name or point it to Google.com beats me. You have to ask them. Below is the register info for Google.net. You can use this contact info if you want to further your research..

    I know , the password (that works fine on my laptop) do not work to allow download to my view, and no longet works my phone.

    .Net extensions were originally intended for networks like ARPANET (university networks or Organization networks(defense))
