Is there a public transport system that runs from Puerto Jiménez Costa Rica to Panama City?

I am going on a group trip to Costa Rica in August of this year and we will be spending a lot of time in the Osa Peninsula. We were going to take the bus back from Puerto Jiménez to San José and fly back home from there, but we thought it might be cool to see the Panama Canal on the last full day there. I was wondering if there is a bus or train or some other public transport system that runs from Puerto Jiménez to Panama City?

Yes, you can take the bus from Ciudad Neily o San Vito to Panama City. Also from San Isidro or Buenos Aires...

You can visit Tracopa bus website and see "rutas":

Also, I know that Sansa does domestic flight in Costa Rica, but maybe they do too in Panama, you'll have to take a look on their website or call them maybe.

    Osa Peninsula is beautiful!

I live near San Isidro and my sister in Ojochal. You'll love it!

The oher post gives good bus options. However, it is about 14 hours by bus from Osa to Panama City and 18 from Panama City to San Jose so it would take you a minimum of 2 days and more likely three to make the trip by land.

You could however go to David and take a plane to Panama City and then fly back to San Jose.
