Hope you read what I wrote. :)

Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3B/240G 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (Upgrade Bundle Kit)

$189.99

ADATA Premier Pro SP900 ASP900S3-256GM-C 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Which one is better in terms of reliability, performance and bang for buck?

Is it really worth paying $35 more for only 16Gb more of SSD space?

This is going to be for a build for my friend. He only wants SSD and no HDD. It will just have to fit 3 games and OS and some other programs.

Update:

OOPS! The Kingston is 240GB and ADATA is 256GB.....

Update 2:

I can see the difference now, but one thing. The 240Gb Hyper X 3K is $155 while the 256Gb ADATA Pro SP900 is $190. Is it worth paying an extra $35 for 16Gb more of SSD space?

    Read the description...

    Kingston HyperX 3K has:

    Performance

Max Sequential Read Up to 555 MB/s

Max Sequential Write Up to 510 MB/s

    MTBF 1,000,000 hours

    ADATA Premier Pro SP900 has:

    Performance

Max Sequential Read Up to 550 MB/s

Max Sequential Write Up to 530 MB/s

    MTBF 1,000,000 hours

From a performance point of view, ADATA has slightly better specs.

    The choice is yours.

I never used either one to be able to tell you which last longer or runs better.

Google for professional reviews, or just read Newegg customer feedback reviews.

I have OCZ Agility 3 in one PC (one 120GB for Windows 7 and one 60GB for Linux).

Also have two 64GB Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 in another PC (one for Linux and the other for Mac OSX 106 Snow Leopard Hackintosh).

I am very happy with all of them so far, and I used them for about a year now.

Benchmarks are very close but the Samsung beats it by very little on average and most people say its more reliable.
