How does google know my wifi password?

Question

I just bought a nexus 7 tablet from google.

When I start it up for the first time i used my cellphone's wifi hotspot so it could synchronize my calendar & stuff.

When I arrived home, it connected to my wifi automatically, without asking me for its password.

My wifi is encrypted with WPA2, with a custom key (it.s not the default). I never told my nexus 7 my wifi password before.

Is it possible that google took that password from my cellphone? Does it mean that google 'has' my wifi password?

Don't ask me to use my brain when you can't even read... believe it or not but i'm about to finish Computer Science, so I know what i'm talking about...

I told you that before getting in my home, my device synchronized all the google stuff (calendar, contacts, etc) from my cellphone's hotspot.

I suspect that google knows my password from other devices i connected before to my wifi, and when it synchronized everything, it also got my home's password.

The very first time I turn on my new device into my home, it connects to my wifi without asking my password. That was really really shocking.

Absolutely confirmed. I checked the wifi config. and he has my work's wifi with its password, when i.ve never been in my work office with my tablet.

Google has all the wifi information necessary to connect to a wifi, includong the SSID and the password from the wifis you connect using an Android device. Y! Answers didn't help me get the answer, and i just got insulted by a Y!Q&A top contributor, oh well.....

Just because the machine is provided by Google does NOT mean it does ANYTHING using Google. It is just another computer and you connected it to a machine with an encryption key. So IT actually remembers your key. How on earth would Google know the key. Use your brain, how can it be talking to Google when BEFORE it connects to the service?
