In 2009, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, 66.9% of all homicides in the United States were perpetrated using a firearm. There were 52,447 deliberate and 23,237 accidental non-fatal gunshot injuries in the United States during 2000. The majority of gun-related deaths in the United States are suicides, with 17,352 (55.6%) of the total 31,224 firearm-related deaths in 2007 due to suicide, while 12,632 (40.5%) were homicide deaths.

I think there is more important issues to address.

Have you noticed the media is highlighting more now we have a liberal democrat in the whitehouse? Some are believing far fetched conspiracies that needs to be addressed in this country and believe this gun talk is to engineer a civil war, your either going to go along with freedom or tyranny. It's called divide and conquer. Research and debunk liberals, it's your call if you want republicans (it isn't republicans) to stop disrespecting your hero by saying he's been radically influenced with socialism/Marxism/radical Islam etc.... and is hiding his birth certificate to either hide he was born in Kenya or he is hiding his real father Frank Marshall Davis who was in an eleitest commie club that runs in the family. This gun control is going to get out of control, think before you act out in anger please.

The father of Newtown Connecticut school shooter Adam Lanza is Peter Lanza who is a VP and Tax Director at GE Financial. The father of Aurora Colorado movie theater shooter James Holmes is Robert Holmes, the lead scientist for the credit score company FICO. Both men were to testify before the US Senate in the ongoing LIBOR scandal. In a article being secret from the main stream media an inmate Steven Unruh said that he talked to James Holmes who said he was hypnotized by an evil pyschistrist.

The CIA’s use of mind control to create killers is a matter of historical record. MK-ULTRA was the code name for a covert, illegal CIA human research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence that came to light in 1975 through investigations by the Church Committee, and by a presidential commission known as the Rockefeller Commission. 14-year CIA veteran Victor Marchetti insists that the program is ongoing and has not been abandoned.

"It seems to me perfectly in the cards that there will be within the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing…a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods.” ALDOUS HUXLEY, quoted in John Marks, The Search for the Manchurian Candidate: The CIA and Mind Control, 1980.

He's been trying to invoke racial tensions but some people know how to use google. In 2000, a Robert Zimmerman was elected to serve as a Democratic National Committeeman from New York and still holds that position. He was re-elected in 2004 and in 2008. He was also a Trustee of the 2009 Presidential Inauguration of Barrack H. Obama.

“… In the technetronic society the trend seems to be toward …effectively exploiting the latest communication techniques to manipulate emotions and control reason. Human beings become increasingly manipulated and malleable …” - Dr. Zbiginiew Brzezinski

During a speech in 1995 before he was Attorney General Eric Holder says people need to be brainwashed into thinking negatively about guns.

Everybody should watch this, this is a former intellagence officer who handled classified docs and shows pics of military bases on the moon after proving magic buillets don't exist. Some say cloning is going on in Area 51 or 52 for a fake space invasion to unite everybody -

There have been 4 in the last 4 years, but that's not an increase.

The worst that happened at a school was in 1929 and the guy used dynamite. I guess we should have banned that, right? Would banning anything stop violence? No way.

Banning guns will only make these occurrences increase since there will be no responsible people with guns to stop the violence done by insane and troubled people.

And statistically, more die every day in downtown Chicago from gang violence. Why don't we talk about that problem? Is it because all these violent downtown areas are run by democrats?

And a nut in China just went on a killing spree at a school and he used a knife. Should they ban knives in China? That's not going to happen. They're busy incarcerating anyone speaking against their government.

And now China is calling for us to give up all our guns. That doesn't sound wise to me. What do you think?

i think of area of that's the media. They stated the Ohama shootings with diverse gusto, so as that they are doing an identical for those simply by fact they comprehend people will have an interest. they don't record what does not activity people. i think of issues like this are greater hassle-free than we predict of, yet at specific situations, they at the instant are not stated on as lots. It relies upon on what's already interior the information, alongside with political subject concerns and so on. bear in mind that year there gave the impression to be diverse shark assaults off the coasts of the U. S.? There weren't from now on than commonplace; they only have been given stated with the aid of the media greater, and subsequently the known public became unexpectedly terrified that the sharks have been out to get them. i think of that's an identical variety of ingredient, regrettably.

Shooting sprees? Depends what you are comparing it to. If you look over the last 1000 years, yes. But at the same time, violence overall has decrease enormously.
