Women in the Qu'ran?
I'm writing a paper about the women of Algeria after the Battle of Algiers. I have a text-book about the interpretations of religious texts regarding women, but I don't know where to start! Can anybody identify scriptures that describe the Qu'ran's take on women being independant vs subservient, women wearing the hijab, or anything else that might help me out? Thank you!
Okay, so I willnot be reading an entire qu'ran, I just need some quotes to explain my claims/ thesis. I should add I have no bias for or against this religious text,I am simply analyzing their use in a political environment. That last point isn't directed at anyone, just wanted to clarify!
